What makes us who we are?
This piece is a love letter to the centuries of Indian handloom and craftsmanship I grew up admiring, and a self-portrait layered with memory, identity, and cultural pride. 💜I was deeply inspired after visiting the National Gallery in Mumbai, where I saw exquisite handwoven saris, intricate textile traditions, and dying craft forms that still pulse with meaning.
The purple sari you see (bottom left)?……. That’s me, wrapped in history, layered with Sanskrit shlokas, and held together by stitches of legacy.
