In June 2020, amid the challenges of the pandemic, I got a message that felt like oxygen: I was chosen as a Featured Artist on NBC California Live. I still remember the moment clearly—my heart raced as I read that my work would be showcased on one of the Bay Area’s leading morning shows.

The feature was part of a segment called “The Art of Staying Creative During COVID‑19,” highlighting how local artists adapted through uncertainty . When they called, it felt like everything I’d been doing in my small home studio finally had a wider audience. It was thrilling, validating, and totally surreal.

🎨 Why This Moment Matters

Shining a light on my art during such a tough moment for creatives—when galleries were closed, and in-person events were dreams—felt like a lifeline. It reminded me why I make art: to connect, to witness, to bring stories forward even when everything else feels uncertain.
